Balcombe Village (West Sussex, - U.K.). Population some where in the region of 1750. The village is located almost midway between Brighton and London Gatwick airport and approximately 45 miles from London. .

Records indicate that the village of Balcombe has been known by various names such as "BALECUMBA in 1121, BALECUMB in 1189, BELECUMBE in 1279, BALDCOMB in 1284, BAULCOMBE in 1609 and BOLKHAM in 1715. Although there is only a registered population of 1752 the village boasts a large number of clubs and organisations (43 at the last count !!) including Scouts, Badminton, Rifle & Pistol Club, Cricket, Yoga, a Social Club and the village Pub (The Half Moon).
